Low Pricing of Servers?

With insurance and all other costs, such as licensing, Audits, Remote-Hands, staff, Vendors, Vendor support, mechanical and electrical servicing (Generators/APC) and profits back into the company, there is no way that I would be able to get a dedicated server under $100 Depending on where the company is located, DC space can be a premium outside of the costs that you stated above.

Again, it is a part of your business. No vendor can go only with cheap servers, even OVH and Hetzner have high prices on their enterprise segment.

Audits = they are automated
Remote-Hands = they are charged
staff = will be payed already
Vendor support = ???
mechanical and electrical servicing = need to be there anyway.
DC space = is there anyway, you can play this game only if you own a DC and are a big guy.

Thats what most people forget, low price servers work under two conditions: You are a huge company. You have a separate enterprice business.

Under this conditions it is just some additional money, marketing and customer bondage (they might upgrade to premium servers).

Most guys here seem to be small hosting companies. And they will not able to sell low pricing and make a profit. To think that the same market rules and abilities apply to small corporations then to large corporations is a very bad understanding of the world. Thats why we see everywhere consolidations and small corporations and middle class dying.

Large corporations are (in the long run) evil for society – and Karl Marx already knew about it 150 years ago. With a very precise reasoning.
